Hi all, i’m just wanting to start afresh with posts on my blog and don’t want to have the old posts still viewable on my page (but fine to have them linked)- is there a way i can archive them to be viewed on a separate page? or do i just have to delete them all?

    thanks,
    rubyjoh.

The blog I need help with is rubyjoh.wordpress.com.

We need the URL beginning with http before we can give you accurate help.

You could assign a separate category to an “Old posts” category (or whatever name you prefer) and use a custom menu or categories widget to give separate access to them:
    http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/06/30/posts-on-pages/

However, on the front page, posts appear regardless of the category. If that’s not convenient for you, you can replace the front page with a static page:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

By the way, the website you select is only visible to staff and used, among other things, by an automated messaging system when it detects you may be posting on the wrong forum. Volunteers don’t have access to it. You can link your username to your blog by following step 2 below:

You can reduce the number of posts displayed on a page if you want to require your visitors to click to see older Posts –

Personally I would probably just put a Post up that says “I am zigging” or changing the direction of the blog and leave it at that –
