    Hi all,

Does anyone know of a way to archive a post at will? That is, send something to the archives, having it not appear in the blog (except for the archive), but not deleted? Thoughts? Thanks!

I note that you have a wordpress.com blog linked to your username, and I am assuming that your are referring to it. above. The answer to your question is “no”. Archives are not “hiding places”. The function in exactly the opposite way. Immediately after publication each and every post is automatically archived.

If you want posts in your blog that readers cannot access then you can create draft posts and not ever publish them, or you can create password protected posts.
