Are photos of strippers in bikinis pornographic?

    Hi Support Group,

    My blog,, is about male strip bars in the Philippine metropolitan capital, Metro Manila. I have gone over your Policy on Mature Content. My online journal condemns child pornography and paedophilia. I am writing as I need to clarify a particular issue relative to the posting of photos showing tarpaulins or banners featuring wordings that might be interpreted by some sectors as pornographic and half-naked men or bodies of dancers in underwears. I have not posted such snapshots as yet until I get the green light, or I will not show photographs that might be considered in violation of your policy. Would you please tell me if photos of male strippers in underwears or bikinis are deemed pornographic from an American law enforcement perspective? If so, then I will not post photos of such nature. Pornography is way too different from a Philippine viewpoint. I subscribe to the superior American opinion on how pornography is defined and understood.

    I would appreciate your enlightening me on this matter.

    Best Regards,

    The Gonograd Resident

    The blog I need help with is

    There are limitations to the mature content permitted on our service regardless if the site is private or not. Please don’t:

    -Post explicit sexual materials that can be considered pornographic, such as explicit images or video of sexual acts or close-up images of genitalia;
    -Post links or banner ads to adult-oriented affiliate networks, such as -pornography site signups;
    -Post links, text, or images promoting or advertising escort services;
    -Post images of extreme violence or gore without associated context or commentary;
    -Post images of child pornography;
    -Post content that promotes pedophilia, such as blogs with galleries of images of children where the images, content surrounding the images, or the intent of the blog is sexually suggestive.

    Blogs found to be hosting the above material will be suspended. In cases of child pornography, we also report all incidences to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and fully cooperate with law enforcement.

    Photos of adults in swimsuits and underwear fall well within our guidelines of acceptable content on, so if that’s as extreme as they get, you should be fine.

    To JackieDana, the Happiness Engr and TimeThief: Thanks a bunch for making this gray area clear. As far as posting of videos of human sexual activities or photos of genitalia, I find no intelligent reason why I should feature such items in my blog. In fact, my blog does not condone anything related to human sexual exploitation, paedophilia, and forced prostitution.

    With the information shared by Happiness Engr., I feel I know better now, especially when it comes to what kinds of snapshots to feature in my journal.

    You’re welcome. :)
