Authenticating gmail

I’m trying to authenticate my gmail to my new blog. I purchased the URL to go with it, but I guess I’ll need to also purchase the $30 upgrade so I can add the html file from google apps to authenticate it so I can proceed with getting the email setup. This sound correct?

The blog I need help with is purrrfectbark.com.

No that’s not correct. Please see here for setting up email using Google Apps.

Right, and then it says to add a meta tag to my sites home page, yet I can’t find the way to do that anymore…? I made it this far, and I’ve set these up before (But first time through wordpress) but I’m hung up on this one step b/c I don’t know where to put it inside the CP of the blog…?

The wordpress tutorial tells you to use DNS verification code.. but I don’t have that option when I go to Store > Domains…?

    Thanks,
