background color change in eligant grunge

    I really like this theme alot and I am willing to pay for the css upgrade but I know nothing about doing any changes. I tried to watch a tutorial and got lost. this is all I really want, the current background is to contrasty with my images I would like something just a tad darker, maybe in the tanish color like a true earthtone grunge. Can anyone help me or am I just stuck with what they have to offer?

    The blog I need help with is

    Do NOT buy the upgrade if you don’t know CSS. Read the resources listed in the sticky threads at the top of the CSS forum before making the purchase, because you are essentially on your own. It’s not hard, but you’re on your own.

    The problem with Elegant Grunge is that absolutely everything is an image, so you have to create all new images of the exact same size, and work all of them together to make sure that they all tie in together seamlessly. It is far more of a photoshop project than anything else.

    There are a minimum of 4 images you would have to recreate and coordinate with darker colors.

    The reworking of the image wouldn’t be a problem for me, I know photoshop pretty well, I just don’t know how to take the background out and put it back in. Or if I had to make my background from scratch. Over time I guess I can start reading tutorials. I just don’t know if I will ever “get it”.

    What about those sites where you can copy and paste backgrounds? I tried that and it didn’t change anything for a preview. If I had of saw a difference, I probably would have bought the upgrade.

    I don’t have it on “eligant grunge” now because I just wasnt’ liking the bright white. I was able to get my background image header, but wasn’t satified because it didn’t fill the entire space.

    Actually there were 5 images. I missed the footer image.

    This is the header image:

    #header {
    background: url("images/header.png") no-repeat scroll center center transparent;

    This is the image for the content and sidebar area:

    #content-container {
    background: url("images/body.png") repeat-y scroll center top transparent;

    This is the image used at the end of posts:

    .hr {
    background-image: url("images/hr.png");

    This is the image used for the date:

    .post .post-date {
    background-image: url("images/date-wide.png");

    This is the image at the bottom where the “older posts” link is:

    #footer-wrap {
    background: url("images/footer.png") no-repeat scroll center top transparent;
