    Can I have the background image only on the front page and not on other pages as well? I only want it on the front and thereafter have a simple clean white background color. Is this possible? I know virtually no css so if it is doable, can you please give me idiot instructions? :) Thanks very much!

    The blog I need help with is patmahermarketing.com.

    All CSS editing is theme specific and when other try to help you they need to know which theme you are CSS editing. Ideally, they are able to see the blog.

    Oh sorry. The theme I’m using is Chateau and I’ve made it public so hopefully someone can help. Thanks!

    I don’t help with CSS editing but I have flagged this thread so it will be moved to the CSS Forum where you can get help.

    Thank you.

    You would want to do something like this to target the home page only. You can’t do this with all themes, but you can with Chateau.

    body.home {
    background: url("URL OF IMAGE") no-repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;
    }

    Hi thesacredpath,

    Could you help me with the code to add a background image on all my blog. I’m using the photography theme in wordpress.com. Your code above works on the home page alright but I can’t seem to modify it for the other pages.
    Thanks

    This is a thread on the Chateau theme. You are using a different theme and all CSS editing is theme specific. Please start your own thread by clicking this link > https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform
