The blog I need help with is phenomiphy.wordpress.com.
You can export the content of your site (excluding media) by going to tools > export in your dashboard. It will export your posts, pages, drafts, comment, categories and tags.
Thanks man, this helps a lot!
Sorry, @thesacredpath. The export does not back up media. For that you need to do it manually.
Actually when you import an XML export file you are given the option to inluclude “attachments” ? and media files are attachments.
Please see http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/ :
Note: This will ONLY export your posts, pages, comments, categories, and tags; uploads and images may need to be manually transferred to the new blog. The current version of the WordPress.org installation gives you the option to import uploaded files, but the blog you are importing from must be live and serving images properly in order for it to work. So, do not delete your blog until after media files have successfully been imported into the new blog.
