I cant seem to download a complete back up of my blog.
The blog I need help with is thebiotank.net.
The WordPress.com Export (Dashboard>Tools>Export) will create a backup file of all your posts, pages, comments, custom fields, terms, navigation menus and custom posts. It will not back up media files, which one assumes you already have on your computer.
See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/
Is there a way to move only the comments from one page to another?
I’m re-building a page in another way.
I’m really a beginner in this and don’t understand all the English words about this either.
Thankful for a detailed answer!
My blogg is: http://honesty4u.wordpress.com
I know i cant backup media, but when i try and download a ‘complete’ site backup, the download thingy wont even popup
@deathboy101 What browser and version are you using? If you are not using one of the browsers at http://browsehappy.com then you should upgrade. If you are using IE, make sure it is not in compatibility mode.
@lasse08-It’s not really possible to move comments from one place to another from the backend (within the dashboard) in a way that keeps their user data (username, email, website) intact. Regardless, if you are “rebuilding” a page, then you should be able to change the content of the page without disturbing the comments on it.
