    Hi there,

Be ware that wordpress.com is the top level domain here and all sites hosted here are on .wordpress.com sub domains. Sorry but you failed to provide the URL of the domain in question and we do not have database access to any .wordpress.com hosted sites.

Are you asking how to backup or move your content in this site on a wordpress.com sub domain http://teachworkoutlove.wordpress.com/?

If i post something on my new page, teachworkoutlove.com, which in my wordpress app now just says “my blog” will my old readers be able to see that? I have no idea how to check that. I got an email saying it transferred over my followers but i have no idea how….

    Hi teachworkoutlove,

the company told me to get a back up of all files on my site so that it can be archived to my new site.

As timethief suggested, the content from your current site can be exported using these steps:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/export/#export-your-content-to-another-blog-or-platform

Just be sure not to delete any content from your site here until it has been successfully imported to your new site.

Once i do that, will the account be separate or together?

I can see you have created a self hosted WordPress.org site, which is connected to your WordPress.com account with the Jetpack plugin. Jetpack creates a link between your self hosted site and WordPress.com.

If Jetpack was disconnected, you would only be able to access your site by logging into it directly using this link:

    http://teachworkoutlove.com/wp-admin

which in my wordpress app now just says “my blog” will my old readers be able to see that?

Your followers have been transferred so they will receive notifications of new posts in their Reader :) They will only receive email notifications of new posts of they subscribe to them on your new site.

Please let me know if you need any further help.

How would I reconnect the jet pack?

    Hi teachworkoutlove,

It can be reconnected from the Jetpack tab in the left hand menu on your self hosted site. teachworkoutlove.com is already connected successfully so you don’t need to do anything else for that site.

Perfect yes – i figured that part out. Did my followers transfer? When I look at my followers, I didn’t see the list but I see that my posts are attached to the reader which is good but are my followers still following me?

    Did my followers transfer?

They did, yes. The number of followers is displayed on the top right of your Stats page:

    https://wordpress.com/stats/day/www.teachworkoutlove.com

Clicking on that number will show how many Reader and email followers you have.

I see that my posts are attached to the reader which is good but are my followers still following me?

Yes but they won’t receive email notifications on your new site unless they sign up for them there.
