black dashboard

  1. Hi,
my dashboard becomes black when I clik to Dashboard. I have same problems with Stats.

quando clicco su Statistiche o Dashboard la schermata si apre poi diventa tutto nero. Perchè?

The blog I need help with is

  2. Would you like to post to this forum in your own language?
    Italiano (Italian) :

  3. I'm also having the same problem. The dashboard comes up for a second and then goes to black screen.

  4. These are the troubleshooting steps we take whenever any issues like this arise:
clearing your browser cache and cookies >
using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled
updating the browser to the latest stable vesrion (not a buggy BETA browser version)
confirming third party cookies is enabled
    confirming JavaScript is enabled
trying another browser like Firefox 11 or Safari
confirming your Flash is updated If it’s not up to date then this is where to download and install the latest version of Flash.
    resetting your router and modem

  5. Did everything you suggested and still having the issue. Very frustrating.

    Thanks, TiTi.

  6. I have flagged this thread for Staff attention.

  7. I'm not noticing any issues now. Are you still having trouble?

  8. Still doing it. If I hit refresh, it comes back but only for a few seconds. It's probably something on my end. If only I knew what...

  9. Would you mind checking from a different browser?

  10. That worked. I was using Chrome before (which has never given me trouble until today) and I switched to Firefox. Guess I'll either have to get used to Firefox or use two browsers.

    Thanks for the help.

  11. Ah, good. At least we know it's specific to Chrome on your computer. I'm not noticing the issue in Chrome myself.

Would you please try disabling all Chrome extensions? Also, which version of Chrome are you running?

  12. Latest version of Chrome. I disabled all Chrome extensions and my dashboard is doing the same thing.

  13. Hm, blast. Have you tried re-installing Chrome? Sometimes the auto-updater can do some wacky things to the files.

(To be honest, I prefer Firefox over Chrome, but that's just me.)

  14. Re-installing Chrome was the first thing I did when I noticed the problem. I've used Firefox in the past. Guess it's time to go back.

    Thanks again.

  15. monfog, I am having the same problems and I have already followed all the steps. You are not the only one.

  16. It is not only with WP dashboard, the black screen is also in Flickr. I cannot even enter into my own account.

  17. @zambullida
    Hello there,
As you have read this thread then you know what action to take.

  18. Timethief, I have already read your thread and tried everything and I still have the same problems, the same black screen. Thank you, anyway.

  19. @zambullida
I have flagged this thread for Staff attention. Will you please post your answers to these questions:
    1. How are you connecting to the internet and to The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. It sounds like there could be a problem with your ISP. Can you access any of these directly?

    2. Are you using http:// log-in or https:// see

    3. Exactly which browser and version of it are you using? If you don’t know click here to find out >

    4. Is your Flash is up to date. If it’s not up to date then this is where to download and install the latest version of Flash.

  20. I can access directly using the three links.

I am using Https and the last version of Chrome. My flash does not need update, I have already checking it out.

    Thank you for your interest.

  21. Disable any and all add-ons/plugins you may have installed in Chrome, restart the browser, clear the browser cache and cookies and then see what happens. It could be an add-on that is causing the issue.

  22. I have already done it and nothing happens. I have tried every single thing.

    Thanks a lot.

  23. Since so far there doesn't seem to be a flood of people with this issue, it may end up being very hard to track down what is causing it. Hopefully staff will figure out what it is. In the meantime, the only solution seems to be using a different browser.

  24. I hope staff will figure it out, as you say because I really like Chrome. Thank you again.

  25. zambullida, since you're also having the issue with Flickr, there's really nothing we can do.

You might want to contact the Chrome folks about this.

  26. mechanisticmoth

Yep, it's been happening to me for about 5 days on Chrome. I'll click stats or dashboard and the page will appear for a few seconds then go to black. Nothing seems to be working.

  27. mechanisticmoth and momfog, are you having the same problem on Flickr or other sites?

  28. mechanisticmoth

  29. In my case, it is only on Flickr and WordPress, the rest of things work as they used to. Mechanisticmoth, when you get an answer from Google forum, let me know, please.

I hope you all excuse my poor English. I am Spaniard.

    Thank you again.

  30. Yes, I'd be very interested to see what they have to say too. Also, which version of Chrome are you folks using?
