Blavatar showing in blog post

I have been having problems with my blavatar showing up in my blog posts since the beginning of July this year. Not sure what suddenly happened or how to make this stop. It seems to only happen with a new post, but is not permanently part of that post. Once I add a new post, the blavatar no longer shows up in the previous one, but is in the new one. There are three blavatars and they are always in the same position.

Tried deleting a reloading the image with no luck.

Please let me know what’s going on and how to fix it.

    Thank you!

The blog I need help with is sorbowriter.wordpress.com.

Blavatars are not meant to display in posts. See here please > http://en.support.wordpress.com/avatars/blavatars/

Thank you so much for your help.

I know they shouldn’t display in posts. I have tried everything I can think of. I have had a blavatar since I began this blog, and this just started happening last month. Weird! And a bit disconcerting…

Will be patient and hope you guys can remedy this. I don’t want to change themes because I have three years worth of posts that I would need to adjust. Whew! That’s too much work for anyone, I think…

    Thanks, again!

    That is very odd indeed.

Do me a favour: go to your Settings->General and make sure you’ve selected “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML” and update. Then edit every post on your front page (if you’ve got infinite scroll, do 20 or so) using the Bulk Editor on the Posts Page. That should correct any HTML errors.

What’s the weirdest thing is, those are OLD blavatars. I don’t think we have those at all anymore.

Thank you, raincoaster. My Settings have always been set to correct invalid XHTML nests.

Take a look at the Source code, particularly in the head tag. Wondering if there is something that has been added to the onload of the theme? Since this only occurs on the newest post, but isn’t embedded in the post itself, maybe it’s something with the display? And because they seem to periodically move slightly when refreshing the page, could that be some sort of glitch?

I have cleared my WP and browser cashes. Here’s something, too. I use Firefox and can see the WP image. In IE 8, I see the image boxes, but not the images. And in both there are more than one image box.

    You’ve got me stumped!

Also, thank you all for your time and consideration. I hope that we can resolve this issue.

OK, I have been patient long enough without response, I think.

As you can see by my recent post these irritating blavatars are still showing in my recent posts. What the heck is going on and how do I get rid of these stupid things?

    Please, please help!!!
