blog gone

  1. my blog is gone.......i did not delete it...when i go to look for it the site says we cant find what you are looking for?????
    Blog url:

  2. The blog is there. Not to worry. The 404 (page not found) error message on the front page of your blog appeared because you deleted the placeholder Hello World post. As soon as you publish a post, not a page it will disappear.

  3. thanks for the help......i still cannot find my blog?

  4. asbadgerseesit

Well your blog is there. Where is it you can't find it? If you are searching Google for it then you certainly won't find it there as you have no posts yet. You have to actually add posts before Google will index you.

  5. @billiesue1
Are you be referring to this empty blog from August 25, 2009?

  6. Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones:
If you do not see the blog here then
    follow this guide >

    The login links are:

  7. i wrote a blog on may 2nd 2012 titled follow your heart

  8. How many blogs do you have?
What are the URLs starting with http:// for the blogs?
What is the URL starting with http:// of the blog that you "wrote a blog on may 2nd 2012 titled follow your heart" on?

  9. i just posted the one blog url....

......and this is the response i get from wordpress when i go to the site

"Well this is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?"
It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching, or one of the links below, can help

  10. If you created that post using the "Add New" on the main page for here!/post/ then what you describe can happen and worse still the draft posts may be lost and may not be recoverable.

If you created the post in your dashboard here > Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New then you may be able to recover an earlier post revision.

Go to Posts > All Posts, hover over the title of the post, click Edit and check the Post Revisions module for previous saved versions of the post.

If you're not seeing the Revisions module while on the editor screen, click Screen Options (top right corner of your Admin page) to activate it. Then select the post and page modules to include them. Then you ought to be able to go here > Dashboard > All Posts > Posts and locate the post and recover it from post revisions.

If you cannot locate the post for locating and restoring a post revision, and it's not in your Trash folder then you will not be able to recover it.

  11. thanks for all your help....can't find it ..weird....i published it and got over 60 hits and now it is just gone....

i don't know if folks can hack in and delete a post....maybe

  12. I'll flag this thread for Staff to examine your blog.

  13. thank you....i appreciate it

  14. One blog I subscribe to with the WordPress.COM reader behaves strange also - there will be a Post that shows up in the Reader and when I go to the blog I get a 404 Not Found Error - then some time the next day a few times I have seen the Post back - not sure if they pull the Post for a while to rework it before putting it back on their blog

  15. You deleted that particular post on May 17.

  16. Do you know of anyway to retrieve it?

    Thanks much..........

  17. Look in your Trash folder.

  18. No, the post was automatically deleted from the Trash folder 30 days later.

    It's definitely gone for good.
