I have just started creating my blog and I would like to write it in 2 or three languages (French, English Japanese). I saw that it’s possible to do that with a .org site but how about a .com site, where plugins are not available?
It’s possible to do it in two languages which share the same alphabet, eg French and English (choose the French language as the official language of the blog, so all the accents display) but not with languages that use different languages, like Japanese and either of those.
Actually, it is possible to create posts in multiple languages, even those that don’t share the alphabet. We don’t have an automated solution here on WordPress.com to switch your site from one language version to another, but you can either 1) create two blogs, e.g. one in French and another one in English, and then use custom menus to cross-link the two; or 2) publish posts in different languages on the same blog and use categories and custom menus for navigation between two languages.
