Blog keeps disappearing from view since change of domain mapping

    Hi, I’m having an absolute nightmare with the availability of one of my blogs, and I’m hoping that you can help.

    I have a domain (rebeccasilverman.com) registered with 123-reg. For a year it was mapped to the blog http://rebeccasilverman.wordpress.com, and everything worked perfectly. A week ago I switched the mapping to a new blog (http://rassoprano.wordpress.com). Since then, the blog returns “… server cannot be found” errors several times a day, often for hours at a time.

    Moreover, the problem varies from location to location. At the time of writing this question, I can access it via my wired PC, but not via my mobile phone over the 3G network. Yesterday evening, I was getting “… server cannot be found errors” from the same PC, yet my friend who lives in Granada, Spain was able to access the blog. My mother, who lives ten miles from me has not been able to see the blog for two days.

    As I say, this problem is manifesting itself multiple times a day. The domain-name registrar insists that everything is working properly at their end. I would really appreciate your help with this.

    Hi there – the problem is that one of your name servers is still set to use 123-reg, as you can see here:

    Name Servers
    ns.123-reg.co.uk 212.67.202.2
    ns1.wordpress.com 72.233.69.14
    ns2.wordpress.com 69.174.248.148
    ns3.wordpress.com 207.198.112.47

    Please log into your 123-reg control panel and remove the ns.123-reg.co.uk name server, leaving only the wordpress.com ones, and things should return to normal.
