Blog Not Fully Loading

    For the past half-hour or more, I’ve been unable to access my blog, either entries or comments.

    The wheel just keeps spinning. The header loads, and my self-hosted images, but nothing more. Occasionally I can get the comments to appear on an old post, but generally the entire comment thread doesn’t appear.

    If I click “The Task at Hand” in the header, that page loads, but if I attempt to open comments or go to another post, everything disappears again.

    Need a little help here. ;)

    The blog I need help with is shoreacres.wordpress.com.

    If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.

    If you are, please do these:
    (1) Try clearing your browser’s cache http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050

    (2) Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled and JavaScript enabled

    P.S. I can load the blog Firefox 22, Chrome 27 and IE8.

    I’m using current Firefox with no add-ons or extensions.

    I’ve already cleared my cache.

    Cookies and java are enabled, as is https://

    Thanks – I think we have a different issue. I’ve been working with the site all day with no problems.

    That’s what I just did, down to unplugging the danged thing. It didn’t work.

    I can get to my page from my dashboard, the admin bar, etc., but there’s nothing visible but the header and the images. The entire sidebar and the background are missing.

    The text of the posts is there, but you only can see it if you highlight it. And if I try to open a comment from my dashboard, for example, none of the comments is visible. It’s weird.

    My dashboard is fine, the reader is fine, and I can get to other blogs from my dashboard. But nothing on mine.

    Even the formatting on my posts is intact. I just can’t read them, read comments or leave a comment.

    I tried clicking in from the links in email notifications of comments, but that didn’t work, either.

    TT ~ Everything seems to be back to normal now. I’m going to leave this thread open for another hour while I finish my work, just to be sure, and then I’ll mark it “resolved”.

    What’s strange is that the color of the background behind the latter comments on each post has changed from beige to black. That suggests there’s been a little back-room tweaking going on. I certainly don’t care what color it is, as long as it works!

    Well, we’re right back where we were.

    Header, self-hosted images and comments are loading (although the comments are slow).

    There is no sidebar, no admin bar and no “body” of any post.

    If I go to shoreacres.wordpress.com, I get a normal looking page, but if I click to respond to a comment or click a link to any specific post, the posts disappear.

    And the wheel just keeps spinning and spinning….

    I’m not having an issue with flash anywhere else, and since it was working for about an hour, and then stopped again….

    Help!

    I just double checked, and I do have the latest version of flash.

    Well, I just had to start a new thread. But this time, I brought along a bunch of screen captures (although I messed up my links despite my very best efforts. Sigh)
