Blog Post Title in Wrong Position: Motion Theme
I have an issue that suddenly appeared on my blog: brcccommunitas.wordpress.com. I use the Motion Theme.
The title for one of my blog posts (Day 11, Be: Loved) is posting on the right side of the page where the sidebar usually is. When I scroll to the bottom of the page I can see my sidebar on the right hand side of the page, but it seems to have been pushed down there by the blog post. It does this to me in Firefox, Safari, and Chrome so I’m assuming it’s not the browser. And it only does this on the home page. If I click on said blog post it will show me that post w/ the sidebar where it should be.
Has anyone experienced this issue or have a fix for it?
The blog I need help with is brcccommunitas.wordpress.com.
Are you copy/pasting from Word or some other non-blog editor? That will cause this kind of error. What you need to do is go to Settings->General and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then go your blog and edit the posts one by one (change anything, add a space and then delete it, etc, anything small) until things fix themselves.
Thank you. This fixed it. I think one of my contributors is copy/pasting, but I changed the setting like you stated and after correcting one blog post, the problem corrected itself.
I think one of my contributors is copy/pasting
Please contact your contributors point them to this support documentation entry below so they know how to correctly copy and paste so this problem does not occur again. They must use either icon 5 or icon 6 in Row 2 of the visual editor > http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#pasting-text
