Blog Stats question

  1. It says at the bottom of my Blog Stats page that my own hits to my own posts aren't tracked. Yet one of my posts that has not even been published yet--and hence, can only be seen by me--has seven hits. How is that possible?

  2. It's possible because the hits could be sysadmin folks who keep the stats. Some work has been done on stats recently and some other bloggers were reporting similar things. andy responded to these reports saying that it was he himself and he apologized for the confusion.

  3. There was a glitch yesterday/last night that counted your own views as hits; it's been fixed and shouldn't be a factor from here on in.

If you see that this is continuing, drop support a Feedback.

  4. It would be nice if they could go back and retroactively remove those bogus hits. That shouldn't be that hard to do, should it?

  5. Send in a feedback with a link to this thread.
