I’ve got a WordPress.com-hosted blog, but have a problem with the title I was hoping to get around; basically, when I give the blog its title in the settings, it ascribes the name to the blog, but then I have opted to ‘hide’ the name of the blog on the theme, which is how I want it.
So: I want the blog to have no visible title on the page, but a visible title on the header of any internet browser’s toolbar.
This works fine on computers, BUT the problem is the mobile version, which doesn’t ‘hide’ the title on the web pages.
Is there a way around this?
The blog I need help with is driftism.wordpress.com.
I believe this is an issue for Themes Staff to address so I have flagged this thread and it will be moved to the Themes Forum.
Currently, you have your blog set to use our mobile theme, which is why you’re seeing the title (the mobile theme is separate). Since your theme, Origin, was designed to adapt to mobile devices, you can turn off the mobile theme, and that should allow your blog to display Origin on mobile devices, with your title settings intact.
You can turn off the mobile theme by going to Appearance > Mobile in your Dashboard and selecting “No” next to enable mobile theme.
Thank you so much Michiecat! That totally solved the problem! ^_^
