blogger content did not load completely

  1. I am having trouble importing my blog from blogger to It is Only a few posts loaded and no comments loaded.

The blog I need help with is

  2. I see a lot of empty posts with comments. That's very strange, and assuming that's not what your Blogger blog looked like, something appears to have gone wrong with the import.

What I would like to do, if you agree, is empty the blog (assuming there is nothing there other than the Blogger posts), and have you try the import again.

Also, when importing from Blogger, we have a way you can do it automatically by connecting to your Blogger account, and a second way where you download your export file and upload it via our importer. Which process did you follow? If you want to try this again, I'd recommend doing the import via the alternate method as well.

  3. The comments are actually blank, too. Only the commenters names are there just like the posts!

Yes! empty the blog. It's useless the way it is. I have tried to re-import both ways. I've changed the template. I am frustrated with what should be an easy process. I have the export file to upload. I'm ready whenever you say I can try again.

    Thank you! Sarah

  4. I've queued up the request to empty the blog, so that process should be completed shortly.

In the meantime, could you let me know how large your Blogger export file itself is?

If you'd like, I can take a look at the export and try to import it myself. I'd need a way to access it, so if you have Dropbox or a similar file sharing option, that would be great. If you prefer, you can send me a link via email; if you do, just include my name and #365628-f in the subject line, so I can find it.

  5. The file is under 2.2 mb so I've finally send the file to you via email.

I'm sorry I took so long to get back to you. I'm a United Methodist pastor. I've been trying to make sure the services for this week are in order. So this had to take a back seat for a bit even though it moved forward when I was in procrastination mode. :) If I can get it all to import, I'll have time to work on it between Christmas and New Years though. Because I want to make it active again.

Thank you for helping me. Sarah

  6. I'm still looking into this for you. I appreciate your patience, and hopefully we can get this sorted out for you soon.

  7. It looks like the import went through this time - there was a glitch on our end, and was nothing you did wrong.

Please let me know if you have any other questions about your import or in general.

  8. Thank you for all the help!

It looks like the very first comment is still missing. Is there a way to get it imported or added? It is:

That's absolutely great! Glad you started a blog!

    the original blog post is

  9. I'm not sure why the first comment didn't come through. It's possible that for some reason it wasn't captured in your export file. At any rate, I think your solution of reposting it is the best we're going to be able to come up with.

  10. After writing to you, I found it in the trash and hit restore but it disappeared. So it did import. Just not to the right place. Then it did not restore. So I copied it in while I waited to hear if there was a way to fix it. Thank you for helping me get everything up! I appreciate your work on my behalf. Sarah

  11. I just realized that for some reason all of your posts are showing up as having been written by me, which is peculiar to say the least. I'd like to have your permission to empty your blog and try the import again to see if I can fix that.

  12. I saw that and assumed it was just a consequence of how we did it. Yes! If you can fix it, please, do! Sarah

  13. There we go, I think it's sorted out now. Please let me know if you see any other glitches other than that first comment (which may or may not be there now).
