Bluehost Domain Redirect Is An Endless Cycle

I don’t want to host my blog on Bluehost.

I do, however, own the domain “thephilwells.com” through Bluehost. I’ve purchased to WordPress.com upgrade to make this my free blog’s domain. But when I make the switch through wp-admin, the page either never loads (cycling through “thephilwells.com” and “thephilwells.wordpress.com”) or gives me an error saying “Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.”

I’ve tried changing Bluehosts nameservers. I’ve tried setting up the redirect through just WordPress, just Bluehost, and a combination of WordPress and Bluehost. Nothing has worked.

I’ve had the wp upgrade for nearly a whole year and I’m afraid I’ve just wasted my money when I could have up and parked the whole thing on Bluehost’s server and avoided the headache.

    Where have I gone wrong?

The blog I need help with is thephilwells.wordpress.com.

Sounds like you need staff intervention. They will be back at work on Monday, so contact them via the Contact Support page then. If it’s been nearly a year, waiting till Monday won’t hurt.
