Book Lite Header Width
I am using the Book Lite theme which has the really cool 1440 wide header on every page. The issue I have though is that some monitors do not have a native ratio of that wide so the edges of the header get cut off.
Is there any way that I can make the header auto adjust to fit the size of peoples browsers so that it doesn’t get cut down?
Thanks in advance!

BookLite is a responsive width theme. Responsive width means the layout adapts depending on the size of the device being used to view your site. When responsive width themes are viewed on mobiles sidebars appear below the posts in order to provide as much space as possible for reading. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/11/16/mobile-friendly-theme-or-responsive-width-theme/
Doesn’t that mean that it should adapt to different sized monitors? Or am I just being silly? :P
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. This is currently the way the theme is designed. The larger your screen, the more of the image is “revealed”. However, I’ve passed this along to our team and we will discuss if it’s something we should change. I’ll keep you posted.
In the meantime, you might try using a header image that doesn’t require larger screen to view. Maybe you could make the words in your header a little bit smaller, and center them so that they’re not touching the edges? This way, when the user re-sizes the screen, the words will still be in the middle.
