browser delayed on stats page

    Hi. My browser is showing the turning circle icon on the part of the stats page that breaks down the stats by country. It has been doing this for several hours this morning now, and I think something may be wrong with it, but I have no idea of how to correct it. Could you please have a look at it and maybe fix it? Thanks for the help if you can.

    If you are running one of the browsers and versions listed at please do these four things:

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache:

    2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled:

    3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    4. Try enabling HTTPS:

    If it’s still happening, let us know which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary and also post any error reports you get.


    Hi again. I followed all the instructions. It’s still happening. I’m using IE9 (I took off compatibility view) and the only problem I got on the user personal setting page was that it kept reporting my user name also as my e-mail address, which was corrected when I enabled HTTPS and provided a new password to go with it. But for some reason the Twitter API status update message still shows the http enabled address, so maybe that’s the problem. Is there any way you can change that, or what else should I do? Thanks for all the info you already provided, and thanks if you can help further.



    There continues to be a fault on stats with ‘Views by country’ feature.

    The central icon rotates continuously and the feature does not upload.

    Can WordPress engineers correct the problem please?

    This should be cleared up by now. The internal team was making some edits to the display of the data you see there, and it ended up causing an eternal delay for some users.

    If you haven’t cleared your cache since you first noticed this, you may want to do that, too. Here is more information about how to do that:

    Thanks much. I did set about clearing the cache almost right away, but it was a day later before it started to take effect. If I have any further problem, I’ll try it again. Thanks so much to you and everyone else who worked so hard to get us all back in order.
