Cache error alert!

    I’m having trouble with an error message that keeps coming up although I have taken all the steps suggested. Besides following advice in similar posts I have found via Google as well as cleaning my computer and making the changes in my host folders, it does not seem to make a difference as the alert is still showing:

    The WordPress cache system is not enabled!
    Please, activate it adding the line of code
    define(“WP_CACHE”, true);
    in the file wp-config.php just after the define(“WPLANG”, …).

    Initially I had also contacted my host (Bluehost) as I thought it might be a folder-issue but they redirected me to you.

    Can you help?

    Thanks for your reply, raincoaster, but I’m getting a little and/or more confused than before …

    I also had posted on initially (who knows why I did it in the first place) but have not received a reply in over two weeks, so I figured, silly ‘non-tech-newbie’ I am, I might have posted it in the wrong forum as I am registered with – so I reposted here.

    Member is bad at replying, but since you are using software and not softtware, we cannot help you. Our software works differently and we do not configure our WPcache here at all. We couldn’t if we wanted to: the software won’t allow it.

    So there is no point in posting to a forum where nobody can help you.



    Now that I know I’m using – software, it makes totally sense and I get where you’re coming from.

    I’ll just repost there and hope for the best.
