Can I contact a persons blog directly to their email? Rather than post comments?

Here's my situation, albeit a weird one.

The account name I wanted was taken- that's fine, it happens.

However, upon investigation, I found that it's had 1 post, a year ago, and the creator is trying to make it seem like it's meant to be a cat doing a blog.

Just the fact that the name I wanted ISN'T a real person, and is inactive is quite frustrating.

    Here's the culprit:

Even if there's a way to claim an inactive URL name, that'd be even better.

    Help would be fantastic.

  2. There is no expiration date on blogs unused or otherwise. If you can make contact on your own with the owner of an unused blog then there is a means of a consenting blog owner to transfer the blog to another username account.

In the case that there is no contact information Staff will not breach the privacy policy and provide you with an email address.

if you are not successful, you can register another blog with a similar name.

Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying address is.
