can I get a language switch button?

I would like to offer my site in Dutch and in English. Is there a way I can have a language switch (or flags or 'Dutch' / 'English') on each page? Ideally I would not need to switch themes but if this option is not available with Modularity Lite, are there others that do offer this?

The blog I need help with is

  2. I'm sorry but there are no themes here that give you that option and there is no DTP access to our blogs so we cannot use plugins. You can only set one language for the blog on this page > Settings > General

  3. edit: "DTP " above was meant to be "FTP"

You will find the only two translation workarounds we have here >

Thanks for the quick reply! I'll take a look at that option.

    Hi there,

Another solution might be to create a Dutch page that doesn't show up in navigation and then link to this from, say, an English version of that page. Only, I can't seem to figure out if it's possible to have pages that don't automatically show up somewhere...
    Any tips?

  6. You could use a custom menu to display only the pages you want:
    Does that answer your question?

Thx for your reply. Hm, yes, I think that is the only solution. Not sure if I've used the Custom Menu here. I created a 'nederlands' page and then added Dutch pages to that parent. Is that what you meant or is there an easier way?

  8. If you go to Appearances > Menu > Your theme supports __ menu(s), do you see a menu that you created?

Basically a custom menu gives you more flexibility, especially if you will be using categories. But if you don't use one, the theme will automatically take your pages and make a default menu out of it. That's fine too. It' s as you wish.
