can i use a blog address already in use?

  1. Dear sirs, I'd like to create a second blog, named "Grandes Músicas" (http://grandesmusicas/, i see the blog address already exists, but it was created in 2009, and there were never any posts or pages or anything else posted in it. Probably the owner doesn't even remember it anymore.

Would it be possible to free the address, so that I can use it?

    Best regards.

The blog I need help with is

  2. That's not possible. There is no expiration date on blogs unused or otherwise. If you can make contact on your own with the owner of an unused blog then there is a means of a consenting blog owner to transfer the blog to another username account. In the case that there is no contact information Staff will not breach the privacy policy and provide you with an email address.

If you are not successful, you can register another blog with a similar name.

Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying address is.
