  3. sorry bot, but you are wrong, my blog is hosted at .com
I do know the difference between .com and .org
i am asking if i can use a premium theme at .com or may only use the 100+ themes at .com?

  4. You can only use the 100+ Themes that have been set up for you - the Themes have been modified to add functions that would otherwise require Plug-in's to do. The Theme restriction is a security issue.

There is no upgrade that allows you to use a custom Theme short of the VIP upgrade ($2,500 to start I think).

If you have a specific Theme that you really must have you can suggest it be added - be sure to have a link to the Theme and give your reasons why it is a must add.

  5. Sorry, the supportbot bumped its head I guess, but at least it said, "does not appear."

We cannot add themes at wordpress.COM, we are limited to the themes found in the dashboard under appearance > themes. Themes found on the internet are for self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG.

If you have CSS editing experience, you can get the paid custom CSS upgrade, which will allow you to stylize the themes here, but it does not allow you to change the functionality. Since there is no official support for the CSS upgrade, do not buy the upgrade unless you have at least moderate understanding of CSS. Before buying the upgrade, you can go to appearance > edit CSS and wordpress has provided a preview function where you can try out changes before you buy the upgrade. Do note though that CSS is theme dependent, so the CSS for one theme cannot be applied to another theme.

  6. thanks everyone for the quick reply. Very helpful to many i'm sure
