  I’ve looked all over the FAQ and forum and can’t find it. I thought I saw somewhere that if you own the domain, then you can post Java while using WordPress, but I can’t remember.

  It depends on what you mean by “own the domain”. If you mean a wordpress.com blog with domain mapping, then the answer is “no”. If you mean a self-hosted wordpress installation, then you can do (almost) whatever you want.
  (btw, java and javascript are very different things although the names are similar)
