Can I use Vertigo Theme on my hosted site?

Hi. I’ve decided to move this blog to a hosted site, and I’d like to keep the awesome Vertigo theme. I can’t seem to find a download of it anywhere. Can you help?

The blog I need help with is

I don’t find it at extend/themes/ at wordpress.ORG, and have a feeling it was created just for, but I do not know that for sure.

You can download the version here, , but do be aware that there may be some adjustments that have to be made for it to work properly on a .ORG installation – at least that has been my experience with a few of them.

    Hi there,

Vertigo is currently not available for sites. We hope to make it available in the future, but we can’t give a definite time frame.

The Vertigo theme was originally made for Tumblr and released under a Creative Commons licence, so it can’t currently be distributed through (the designer would have to relicence the theme as GPL for that to happen).

So if you do download Vertigo via svn, you need to bear in mind that the licence terms are slightly different to those of most WordPress themes. Basically you just need to keep the footer credit to the designer and refrain from reselling the theme, neither of which should be a problem for most end users.
