Can tag and category clouds be put on pages?

  1. I'm building an Archives page, and I'd like to be able to include tag and category clouds on the page itself, not just using the sidebar widget. Can this be done, and if so how do I go about it. There doesn't appear to be a shortcode for this.

The blog I need help with is

  2. Have you opened the Tag Cloud widget ? Some widgets have visibility settings which means you can select exactly which pages the widgets display on.

  3. Volunteers answering questions on the support forums do not have access to premium themes and cannot work with them in test blogs. However, premium theme purchase comes with support from the theme designer in the premium themes support forums.

Read-access to the premium themes forum is now open to all users so you can search to see if your question has been previously asked and answered there. The premium theme forums are at with separate sections for each theme.

If you are not successful when searching there is a link for the specific Premium Theme support forum for your theme under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard, but do note that the premium theme must be active and you must be signed in as the user who purchased it in order to see it and post to it.

  4. Yes, I have looked at the visibility setting of the widget, but again it appears that widget itself can only be embedded in the sidebar or footer, not on the actual page itself. I was just wondering if there was a shortcode for that.

  5. There is no shortcode. The Tag Cloud widget does have visibility settings and I can choose to have it display on Pages in my blog. I suggest you post to the premium support forum for your theme here

  6. widget itself can only be embedded in the sidebar or footer, not on the actual page itself

There are no themes that I am aware of (I have been here over 7 years) that allow widgets to be embedded into any area other than sidebars or footer areas for widgets.

  7. Thanks, I think I've found an alternative solution to the problem.

  8. There used to be a tag cloud code at that worked, so you could try that. It's several years old, though.

  9. @mzobel
That's good news. Best wishes with your blog.
