Can users follow post comments, without commenting themselves?

    I have a private site with limited users. I would like for them to be able to receive post comments via email, but without personally commenting.

    After a post there is a “Notify me of follow-up comments via email” checkbox, but this only works when also leaving a comment. It’s possible users find a conversation interesting and would like to be notified of follow-up comments without wanting to add their voice to the conversation.

    Can this be done?

    I’m sorry, but if osders has a private blog, feeds don’t work.

    It’s confusing, but I think invited users can see the feeds from a private blog, at least as an admin on my private blogs I can see them.

    Email subscriptions seem to be a different matter from RSS feeds.

    When you leave a comment on a blog, you can choose to receive an email notification every time someone else leaves a comment on that post.
