Can you help me stop a funky domain's auto-renewal?
My domain will be http://www.bumpit.net. I initially registered the domain through wordpress.com. I then later created a wordpress.org blog at http://www.getcrowdsurf.com. I migrated the bumpit.net URL off the wordpress.com nameservers. However I am receiving an email saying that the bumpit.net domain will be auto-renewed on January 6th. When I try to login to wordpress.com and access the old bumpit.net page my account has no info and I can’t stop the auto-renew. If you could help me straighten this out and end the auto-renewal of bumpit.net (I no longer need the URL) that would be much appreciated.
You ought to be able to disable auto-renew here > Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades > Disable auto-renew

Thanks for your response. I am on my dashboard but do not have a “Store” button. I believe this is because when I login (www.bumpit.net/wp-admin) I am redirected to (http://www.getcrowdsurf.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bumpit.net%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1) logging into a wordpress.org blog–now that http://www.bumpit.net is associated with a wordpress.org site (www.getcrowdsurf.com) rather than wordpress.com. Let me know if this is confusing.
It looks like the domain is registered through WordPress.com, so removing it from your account will remove the domain in entirety (it will revert to the registrar). If that’s what you want to do, understanding that you may not be able to get it back again, you can log into this dashboard at:
You should be able to cancel it from here – but just let me know if you run into any issues!
