Cannot access DNS records for rideroyalhc.com
I’ve tried to add a Zone Record for the domain rideroyalhc.com but it asked me to contact support. Could you please add the Zone Record for me?
Basically I have a new account at squarespace.com (royalhc.squarespace.com) and I had registered with wordpress.com last year the domain rideroyalhc.com.
I purchased the redirect in upgrades and it does redirect rideroyalhc.com to royalhc.squarespace.com, BUT, it does not show rideroyalhc.com as the URL. It still shows royalhc.squarespace.com.
I tried to enter the DNS file zone with the user and password I got from wordpress but it says
The zone file is unavailable because the domain’s set nameservers do not belong to this registrar.
Not sure what this means can you guys help at all? Squarespace.com domain control says this:
This domain is not correctly pointing to Squarespace.
You must change these records to point to Squarespace within your domain registrar’s interface. Click here for more information.
Please note, if you have recently used our guide to map your custom domain, it can take up to 48 hours for changes to DNS settings to resolve.

Thanks in advance!
The blog I need help with is royalhc.squarespace.com.
You’re all set! I’ve updated the DNS on your site and within the next 1 to 24 hours it should be pulling up your squarespace site. This did require that I update your domain’s nameservers, so you may be getting an email about that, so just be aware!
Let me know if you have any questions.
Holy hell you are amazing!
It is already working. How did you do that? Why did it not let me make any changes?
Also, do I even need to keep these redirect upgrades? I thought just changing the nameservers might have done the trick instead of having to spend 13 dollars on a redirect upgrade.
Thanks again X 1 million
You really don’t need to keep the redirect so I’ve gone ahead and removed it and refunded you.
There’s no real trick to the DNS, you just didn’t have all of the information! In order to modify your A records, you have to have your nameservers set to:
This allows you full access to a more complete DNS system, where you’re able to change your @ record. I set those, changed your @ record, and there you have it!
Glad it’s working for you. Have a great week! :)
