Cannot get MX records to work properly

  1. Hi,
I've recently mapped my own domain to my blog successfully. I also added an MX record following the instructions from your help pages. Though it doen't work.

Checking my domain here I've always found warnings for MX records and fatal error for MAIL.

Basically the address cannot be resolved in reverse, and the IP currently mapped is you NS1 (or NS2).

Can you help me to take the right actions to make my mail server work? :-)

Thank you in advance for any support!

  2. Your MX records are not correct. To set up your own email address with the custom domain, please follow the instructions here:

  3. Hi kardotim,

thank you for your reply. I followed the link in your post, but I wasn't able to find the correct combination there.

Eventually I managed to make it work after I changed again the records from my registrar dns. I deleted all records except NS, that's probably what I should have already done from the beginning.

Then I modified wordpress DNS with the following entries:
    A mail
    MX 10
    TXT v=spf1 ip4: a mx -all

Now I can receive emails from my domain again :-)

  4. Awesome! Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.

    I have a similar problem.
I have created this fllowing entries:

    MX 10

And I can't use my webmail yet:
What do I have to do?

  6. @viajeiraproducoes The records weren't correct. I've adjusted them for you:

Your webmail should work again now.

Ow! Thank you! It's working properly. Thank you!!!!!!!!! I have been trying to solve that problem for two weeks, and it is so simple. The service offered for "UOL Host" (a brazilian company) is horrible!

  8. You're very welcome :)
