hi folks, my blog oceannah.wordpress.com is almost one month going now. I am unable to upload .doc .docx or pdf to my media library or posts. I would appreciate some help. When I use the drop method it says ‘select file’ and I choose from computer, click on and add the particular file. It continues to crunching and then uploads a sort of default text page Ipsem… The URL field is always filled in automatically. So the problem isn’t that it won’t upload per se, but it does not upload the image/text from Word. grrr.

Are you trying to use Word as your blog editor? If so, please read this recent thread: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/upload-doc-and-docx?replies=10

I’m not using Word as blog editor. When I write a post in word, I am able to copy/past into post. I am not able to do the same w/ images though. I changed file to pdf and still it would not load to media library. The media library says it accepts .docx and .doc but I’ve found that to be incorrect. Attempting pdf I thought would work, but it did not.
My goal is to be able to take images from my word document (as with text) and insert it/them into my blog post. Thanks

In order for images to appear, you must upload the image files, those that end in JPG, JPEG, GIF or PNG, and insert them in your post.

Please take a moment and read the discussion I linked to above. It will answer your question.
