Can\'t access dashboard of my blog

  1. I found an old blog of mine but I can\'t see to access the dashboard. I keep getting notifications about approving comments but when I log in I get the following error message: \"User malenekirstineolesen Cannot Access the Dashboard Requested

    You are logged in as \"malenekirstineolesen\" and do not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard for \"Malene Kirstine Olesen\". If you are not \"malenekirstineolesen\", please log out, and log back in with your username. If you are \"malenekirstineolesen\" and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you.\"

    I wish to delete my blog but can\'t get anywhere right now. Can anybody please help?

  2. I suggest that you log out of the account you are using, and then try to log in again, this time using the email address you are receiving emails at, as the 'username'. If your password doesn't work, just click on Forgot Password, and then change it using the link in the email sent to you, since you seem to have the right email.

  3. Is that the username under which you registered the blog, or did you create the blog from a different username? Did you change the URL of the blog at any time?

  4. I have reset my password and attempted to login with my e-mail but it still doesn't work. I can access my profile and personal settings when I log in but that's it. I can see under my personal settings that the name of my website is: so I guess I have changed it at some point. Could that be the issue?

  7. I've flagged this for staff attention. They're the only ones who can sort through an assortment of usernames and blogs with changed names to see who created which blogs. Just wait for their response.

    The site "" was deleted by you back in February 2011. Was there another blog you were trying to access?

    If that was the site you were trying to access, we're unable to restore it as deleted blogs cannot be restored or reused. Deleting a blog is permanent and the name cannot be used again. There are several warnings about this on the Tools -> Delete Site page and in the help pages, and you are required to confirm the deletion by email.

    With any blog, you can also use your custom domain with Domain Mapping upgrade.

  10. Unfortunately, that site was set up under a different username than "malenekirstineolesen" and I'm unable to help without confirmation from the site owner user account.

    To recover your user account, if you still have access to the email connected to that account, you can enter that email address in the password recovery tool. Please check your spam folder for the recovery email if you don't receive it in your Inbox immediately:

    If that doesn't work, in order to regain access to a account, we'll need one of the following things:

    * An email from the email address on file for the account

    * The API key associated with the account. Please see this link for more information on API keys:

    * A Paypal Transaction ID for any upgrades purchased for the account. Keep in mind that since PayPal is our sole payment processor behind-the-scenes, this transaction ID was generated even if you paid via credit card or another method.

    * One or two title(s) of any unpublished draft posts or pages

    Finally, please make sure you have tried testing different passwords in the login area at the top of Often people can remember the password after a few tries.

  14. @hakanertr - your most recent comments were being marked as spam due to a large number of similar comments directing people to the Spanish support forums. I have fixed that for you now and your new thread is now open.

  18. I'm sorry but that doesn't help me at all. I created the blog a long time ago while I was at the University and I possibly created the account with my University e-mail which I no longer have access to. Is there no other way I can prove my identity to you?

  20. My site was created before 2011 so I don't have the API key and as I told you I don't have access to my old e-mail address. I haven't use Paypal for my site and as far as I can remember I have no unpublished drafts/posts. What if I gave you two e-mail addresses which could possibly have been used for setting up the site?

  21. I'm sorry, but without access to the email address used to sign up for the account and without any of the other account verification information, there's nothing else I can do. These verification steps are required as the only thing we require upon sign up is an email address. Without access to it, there's no way to verify ownership other than the items I listed above.

    Since your goal was to delete this site, I have marked the site private since you're unable to verify account ownership. Here's more information on site privacy settings for your reference:

  22. Hi again, I have access to the e-mail that is registered as the site user's account. I just tried to request access to the blog after you set it to private and the requesting e-mail goes to my inbox. I find all of this very confusing. If my current e-mail is connected to the blog how come it's not enough to verify my ownership?

  23. Since you have access to that email account, the easiest way to regain access to your account will be to reset your password here:

    Be sure to check your spam or junk folder as sometimes the password recovery email ends up there.

  25. Are you logging in as the other username? That's the only way you will be able to see or monitor comments on the other blog.

  27. I looked at the account connected to "" and I don't show any password reset attempts made under the user account's email address.

    Since your goal was to delete that site, when I marked it as private, it effectively does the same thing: nobody will be able to see the site or find it in a Google search. Since there isn't anything else you need to do to effectively remove this site from public access, you can choose to not continue to narrowing down the email address you used to sign up for this site originally.
