Can’t add widgets to right-hand column of 3-column Digg-3

I saw this question in another post but it never got answered. When I try to add anything except blog links to my right hand column, it won’t show up, and furthermore, the blog links then go away. When I go into the Design section, it asks me sidebar 1 or 2, and it *appears* like it could add widgets to either side, but it isn’t happening. The design is getting a little lopsided with all my widgets having to be on the left side! Is there something I am doing wrong?

We can’t help without a link to your blog. And consider linking it in your user name as explained in the sticky, 8 Things, at the top of the forums.

Sorry I didn’t catch that about the link. I did it. My blog is at

    Thank you!

Yes, you can put widgets on each sidebar. You select sidebar 2 to get them on the right side. Choose sidebar2 from the dropdown menu and then select show. That should bring up whatever is in the right side.

Now – at this time, I see the calendar & your blogroll on the right. If, when you try to add to the right side, these two aren’t listed, then they are the default widgets for that side. Once you add another widget, as you have discovered, these two go away. Not a problem – just add them back in!

If that doesn’t solve your problem – what browser are you using? If IE, consider Firefox instead, because IE doesn’t play nice here at

I need to put on my site addsense but i can not :( and i do not find feedback ! can someon help me pls?

Adsense and advertising is not allowed on wordpress.COM blogs and is against the terms of service. It will get your blog deleted.

Thank you, vivianpaige! I have another problem in putting those widgets in though. If I get another widget from another site, and it is too big to fit into my widget column, is there a way to fix it? I read the instructions on downloading it to your desktop then uploading it as a post, then putting it into a text widget, and I tried that. It fit that way, but lost its http linking for some reason. Any ideas?

We cannot have iframes, flash, or forms on If you try to use code that includes any of that, it will be stripped away. It won’t work!

@rhap – sometimes you can change the size of the widget. Sometimes, as 1tess mentions, things get stripped out. Best thing for you to do is to post the HTML code here for us to look at. Put the code between backticks (the key to the left of the #1 on your keyboard).

Here is the widget code, inserted between backticks. I don’t see flash, but I don’t know if I would know frames or forms if I saw it!:

    <br /><a href="" target="new"><img src="" border="0"></a>

That’s a perfectly normal linking image code (the “br” tag is not part of it). For a scaled-down image you modify it like that:
    <a href="" target="new"><img src="" border="0" width="160" /></a>

Wow, you guys are awesome! Thank you so much for all the help!

    Just pay it forward :)
