Can't export from my blog

  1. Hi there-

    I'm trying to move my blog over to a self-hosted WordPress blog and I can't seem to export my data. I go to Tools > Export > All Content, click the download button, wait for a long time (a minute or two), and then finally get this error:


    Something has gone wrong with our servers. It’s probably Matt’s fault.

    We’ve just been notified of the problem.

    Hopefully this should be fixed ASAP, so kindly reload in a minute and things should be back to normal.

    Any ideas how to fix this? I've been trying this for the past couple of days and now I'm under a time crunch-- really need to get it done today or tomorrow.

    I have flagged this thread for Staff attention so you get help with this issue as Volunteers answering support questions cannot help you with it.

  3. This sometimes happens if your blog is big or has lots of comments. You will need staff help for it; contact them directly via your dashboard Help button.

  6. I'm having trouble getting anyone to respond to my question...I've sent two messages to Support and haven't heard a thing...does it usually take a while?

  7. It will now, because support usually answers questions starting with the oldest one, and every time you write to support for the same issue, your message becomes recent and goes to the back of the line :-(

    Also, check your spam folder, in case support's answer ended up there.

  8. Agh. Okay, won't try that again, thanks... :-) Will hang in there and hope a response comes soon.
