Can't find blog post page!
just made this post page public. i can go to “all posts” in dashboard and click on, whereby a page appears with posts (with blog address and date of post)–but its not visible in my menu or Pages (in dashboard). Driving me nuts. where the heck is it?
Any insight? thank you.
The blog I need help with is maryvangelis.wordpress.com.
The blog visibility is private http://maryvangelis.wordpress.com/ and as I cannot see anything at all I cannot help you. I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance. Another Volunteer may answer prior to Staff but I tagged the thread so it will not fall through the cracks and escape attention. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.
If the Post was created on the dashboard of your own blog at Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New then you ought to be able to recover a lost post or page from revisions if needs be.

(If you are referring to a Page then see here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-revisions/)
ah Timethief–timely as always. i’ll try to do as you say. or make the damn thing public for a bit (the entire). thank you. feel like giving up
no revisions. as my posts were just “tests’ –trying to look for the Page meant for posts! seriously. the theme is great but a pain.
The theme has zero to do with the dashboard arrangement. It remains the same in every theme.
Please just tell me what the theme is and exactly what you are trying to do, so we can move right along here.
Ryu theme, why i am positing in the Ryu support area.
I’ve use other themes, many, and not run into so many issues. but they are not as nice, true.
This isn’t the Ryu support area. this is the support forum. :)
Ryu is an unusual theme and these days we have bloggers assuming every theme has a sidebar and pages in menus are all strung out horizontally at the top of every theme. Well, these days themes are variable. On Ryu the menu bar is hidden and so are the widgets. Here’s the link to the detailed theme description http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/ryu/ and the link to the live demo site. http://ryudemo.wordpress.com/
my menu bar and widgets are not hidden. not the problem. i understand those. though the site not public right now.
already designed as i wanted. only the page that’s supposed to be my “Posts” page is–missing. or hidden. not by me.
I get the theme and learned it except for this post page issue.
By default the front page of the blog at http://maryvangelis.wordpress.com/ is the only page in the blog you can post to. That is where all published Posts (not pages) will be displayed unless you change it. If you tried to create a static front page and failed to create a page for Posts to be displayed on it then you can fix that.
By default the front page of your blog displays all published posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. That is for the convenience of your returning visitors, who come to read your latest post, and who are not likely to be happy with being compelled to click through the same static page with the same blah, blah, blah on it every time they visit the blog looking for the latest post.
However, if you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts. To do that create two pages first http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.
So frustrated havent been back to check this.
already created static page from day one. learned that years ago. still cant find where the f* my posts are posting to (page).
NONE of my pages show any of the posts Ive created yet when i go to “posts”–they’re all there.
this is a very rough draft of blog but will make public now out of desperation so you can have a look. thank you
