Can't install badge on sidebar
I have read through the other threads on this subject, but I am so totally non techno-savvy that I simply don’t understand how I can put a badge on my blog’s sidebar. The badge in question is:
> <img alt=”Working in
and my blog is http://statusviatoris.wordpress.com. Step by step instructions for idiots are required.
The blog I need help with is statusviatoris.net.
This would be the code (there is a missing ending tag on your example above).
<a href="http://www.internations.org/italy-expats/guide/working-in-italy-15329"> <img src="http://drupal.internations.org/sites/default/files/styles/square_ thumbnail/public/badge%20italy.jpg" alt="Working in Italy" /></a>
The problem is though, that image doesn’t exist. It returns a 404 not found error. The image either doesn’t exist, or there is an error in the URL.
Hi.. am new here.. Is it possible for me to add a G+ badge to free version of WordPress.com ? I’ve tried and it does not seem to work
Please don’t ask the same question in more than one place. I just answered you in the other thread https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/is-one-able-to-add-a-g-badge-to-wordpresscom?replies=2
Hi I also need help to add a badge link to my sidebar. I don’t even know what things like ’embed’ and image urls mean, so I really need very basic steps.
the code is <embed wmode=”opaque” src=”http://static.ning.com/socialnetworkmain/widgets/index/swf/badge.swf?xn_version=124632088″ FlashVars=”backgroundColor=0xFFFFFF&textColor=0xC30057&config=http%3A%2F%2Fproudparentsofautisticchildren.ning.com%2Fmain%2Fbadge%2FshowPlayerConfig%3Fxg_source%3Dbadge%26size%3Dsmall%26username%3D3inkgvbplnk5p” width=”206″ height=”104″ bgColor=”#FFFFFF” scale=”noscale” allowScriptAccess=”always” allowFullScreen=”true” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” pluginspage=”http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer”> </embed>
<small>Visit Proud Parents of Autistic Children</small>
Please help. what do I need to copy and where in my dashboard do I need to paste it? thanks
You need to go to Appearance > Widgets, drag a Text widget to Sidebar, click Save after pasting this:
[gigya wmode="opaque" src="http://static.ning.com/socialnetworkmain/widgets/index/swf/badge.swf?xn_version=124632088" FlashVars="backgroundColor=0xFFFFFF&textColor=0xC30057&config=http%3A%2F%2Fproudparentsofautisticchildren.ning.com%2Fmain%2Fbadge%2FshowPlayerConfig%3Fxg_source%3Dbadge%26size%3Dsmall%26username%3D3inkgvbplnk5p" width="187" height="135" bgColor="#FFFFFF" allowScriptAccess="always" allowFullScreen="true" ]
