Can’t link
-
The new window wont work. I can’t insert a link. I enter an url and a title and then I hit Update. I click and I click but nothing happens. Have k2 theme. What should I do?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

@universal, I think this might be related to the issue that is causing inserted images to disappear. Staff is aware of the issues and is working on them. I’ll tag this thread for their attention.
-
@universal This should be all fixed now. If you run into any more problems feel free to get in touch with us.

@dfwgambler, log out, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then try again.
-
I’ve tried logging out, clearing the cookies, and restarting Internet Explorer, but still can’t insert links.
-
I’ve tested links in both firefox and safari and they work there.
Have you tried a different browser?
What version of IE are you using?

@dfwgambler, Let’s keep this in the other thread so I don’t have to respond to two different ones.

This is obviously to do with the changes in the linking interface. Annoyingly, you can no longer hit “Return” in order to save the link after you have inserted it. More pointless tinkering.
-
Frankly, staff, why not just enable the old system until you get that bug fixed? Linking is a core function, – this can’t go on…
-
Same thing is happening to me! I hit update and no link, nothing happens. This is pretty ridiculous if you ask me!

Hi – I’m also having a problem posting links today with a Twenty Ten blog. After going through the usual steps, the window does not pop up to allow the link to be pasted in.
Hope it works soon! Thanks in advance. -
I have discovered something: the link is sitting on top of the “Add New Post” page right under the grey WordPress toolbar where it says My Account.
The link is placed outside the “Edit post” area.
This is an invitation for hackers. Go back to the old system until you have a fix, dear staff. This is too risky…

It happens the same in my blog. I agree Universalgeni: Please, go back to the old system until a fix.

I am adding the same feedback as the others. I am trying to link but I get an “error on page” message when I click the link and then update. Please return the old system until the new one is up and running. I like the idea though just wishing it to be bug free.
