can't login

  1. I edited a text widget, saved and then trouble started. No access to the dashboard. Logged out and in again. No way. Cleaned the cookies.Tried several browsers (Firefox, Safari, Camino...) no way.
I'm posting here cause I can't send feedback via the dashboard.

  2. Hi.

I have the same problem. I hope this gets fixed soon. And an explaination of what happened would be great, too. That way, I'd know what not to do.

    Thanks a lot. :)

  3. Can you both drop an email to support @ this domain?
Tell me which widget, exactly what you did, what you saw (details are good) and I'll try and help.

  4. Um, I was toying with a text widget to insert an image and use that as a psuedo-header graphic. But anyways, it's okay now.

I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but this is the only thing I've really done. I setup my PC to static IP from my router to port forward for my bittorrent client while being logged on. I just turned it back to the old setting since the port forward wasn't working anyway. So now I can get back into my dashboard.

Could this maybe have had an effect on that?

  5. @podz

as far as I'm concerned, I just added extremely basic html code in a text widget (the one at the top, left handside bar): a title and a link.
When I pressed saved, seems like the browser was trying to get a proper URL, it sort of blinked and changed on the address bar just the way it happens when you're redirected. Since then: Error, you must enable cookies blah blah

  6. :(

  7. Is this problem still persisting?
The database tables look fine - nothing in there is corrupted.
The way cookies are handled has not changed at all.
If it is I'm at a loss right now as to what to suggest - but if it is I'll see what I can do.

  8. it is.

    possible tracks:

are the cookies messing up with the cookies from a self-hosted wordpress blog?

if that is irrelevant, could you send me a link so that I reset the passwword? and we'll see?

  9. Try here:

Cookies affecting each other isn't an issue but right now it's very odd.

  10. okay

i think I got it now.

not so long ago, I had one password for the blog and one for the forums. I've used the same password (the one you just sent me, thanks) for both and I can login fine. I must have missed a post or a thread mentioning that change.

  11. Excellent! :)
