I decided to move my blog from wordpress.com to wordpress.org, and last night signed up with Bluehost (because of their supposed superior WordPress support). So following the directions to move my blog, I went to my wordpress.com dashboard and exported my blog file, the xml file. Then I logged into my wordpress.org dashboard to import the xml file, but I was given an error telling me the file was too large (my file is 2.5 MB and wordpress says the max is 2 MB). Besides the fact that I don't know why my xml file is so large (it's from April 2005 - present, but I know people who have been blogging much longer and were able to move theirs), I don't know what to do now.
I emailed Bluehost asking them if this was a hosting issue with them, and they replied that I needed to upload a .sql file through their control panel. Which leaves me with a new problem:
How to I export my wordpress.com file as a .sql file? I don't get to choose an option, it just automatically exports as .xml.
The blog I need help with is theridehome.wordpress.com.
