Can't recieve password reset mail

    I have a blog, Lately I tried to change its e-mail address. It seemed not to work, so I did it a couple of times. I then forgot the password, and tried to reset it. Only, I’m not getting any mail about resetting the password. Other notification mails seem to be working fine though, such as when I get new followers etc.

    I figured I ought to contact wordpress, only i can’t find a support e-mail address or anything of the like.

    i cannot receive an email to reset my password when i enter ‘forgot password’


    I manage a number of WordPress blogs for clients, one of whom has made changes to password details which he cannot remember. When we select the Lost Password option, neither he nor I receive an email so I suspect he made have made changes to the contact details.

    The user is

    Is ir possible to have a reminder of the email address, or part of it, so we may narrow down the field and hopefully retireve the reset link?

    In order to help your client get access to the blog Staff need one of the following things in order to correctly identify you as the blog owner:

    1. an email sent from the email address associated with the account or revealing what that associated email address was
    2. the API key for your account. This was included in your welcome email with a note to keep it safe. Please do not post the API key here.
    3. if you have purchased any upgrades for the blog a transaction number send it to the email address I posted above.

    However, as per my original message, I’m afraid we do not know which email address is associated with the account (we have searched all those we operate and can find no record) so options 1 and 2 are not open to us. Nor is option 3 as we have not purchased any upgrades.

    Hence my request for some sort of hint as to the possible email address (any part of it may help us!).

    genuinelyhelpful, I’m sorry, but we no longer provide email address hints. I recommend that you take maybe a day away, start fresh, and try again with guessing the password or email address in the morning. You’d be surprised how many folks that works for.
