Can't See Store on Dashboard, Stopping Me Changing Nameservers

    Hi all,

    I would appreciate you pointing me in the right direction.

    Some months ago I purchased a domain through for my blog,

    The blog is self hosted (i.e. away from WordPress). I would like to change my hosting company, which I have already organised. I’ve got the new server (i.e. hosting account) setup at the new company and am at the stage now where I need to change my nameservers.

    However, that’s where I hit the proverbial wall.

    I have done a lot of reading through the and forums (I even posted in the .org forums but was advised to post here at .com as I purchased the domain from WordPress). I either can’t find a match to my query, or the things I’ve tried so far haven’t worked.

    I’ve tried searching through my email inbox for confirmation emails, copies of emails etc but can’t find any reference. All I can find is on my bank statement I see a transaction of around $26 made to

    I’ve taken a look at the SQL database of my site and can only see one user in there – me. When I login, I see no Store on the Dashboard. When I login to, I can see my domain ‘’ and when I hit Blog Admin it takes me to the admin directory on my domain – still no Store.

    There has never been any other username on my site, and up to now I am at a loss as to what to do next.

    Do you have any suggestions on what I can do to gain management control of my domain?

    The issue is with the domain, not the blog itself.



    It sounds like you bought the domain from a blog and are trying to find the Store on a blog. You need to sign in to the blog in order to do anything at all, including transfer the domain from

    We can’t help you find the blog you originally bought the domain from. You’ll have to dig it up yourself and sign in.

    Thanks for your advice. Unfortunately I’m still not sure where to go from here as I only have one login, one blog.

    I’m not sure what to do next as this forum was my last hope, so to speak. Do you have any suggestion for what I could do next?



    You could wait till October 10 when staff return from their retreat and then ask for help. But I assure you there is no way to buy a domain from without having a blog here. It will be under a different user name, but it MUST exist.

    I’m not disputing what you’re saying… more I can’t recall any previous usernames etc.

    If it makes any difference, when I login to this forum (I.e. it has twice now redirected me to which has something about redirecting to another site. Very basic message with no CSS and then 5 seconds later I’m redirected to

    I’ve never heard of that company. And returning back to the forums it allows me to login without issue on a subsequent attempt.
