Hi, can anyone please let me know where I can get a captcha plugin for my blog, as I’m getting to much spam.
The blog I need help with is palmtreelifestyle.wordpress.com.
There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install individual plugins. The plugins found on the internet are for wordpress.ORG installs which run on different software.
There is no CAPTCHA that can be used on WordPress.com blogs nor is one need as all our free hosted WordPress.com blogs are equipped with Akismet. CAPTCHA is outdated and creates accessibility issues and not as effective as Akismet is. All we need to do is check our spam filter daily for false positives when we moderate comments.
Hi timethief, thanks for you time and explination. Have a great day.
As you are new to WordPress.com this is the main link to the support documentation http://en.support.wordpress.com The searchbox will provide results from both the documentation and forum threads. As most questions have been asked and answered many times you will be able to find your own answers very easily. I can also recommend a comprehensive tutorial. The Learn WordPress.com tutorial is divided into progressive levels and presented as a series: http://learn.wordpress.com/
