Man! I just lost all my text widgets…and they were very custom coded…in other words all my work is gone. Ouch!

I was updating one of the text widgets and then they all disappeared.

It still says I am using 11 widgets, but only 4 are showing! Search, Pages, Category cloud and recent posts.

All my text widgets just dissapeared as well. I updated one, and now they’re gone. But in the text space above the “Current Widgets” section in the admin, it still says “You are using 10 widgets in the “Sidebar 1″ sidebar.” But it then only lists 4 out of the 10 (the text ones are missing). So clearly it knows that they’re supposed to be there, they’re just not showing up in the admin or on the site. I suppose the best thing is to leave it for now, but an update would be nice.

    Thanks

I went in to edit one of my text widgets and it DELETED all my non-standard widgets. No matter how many times I re-add and save changes– it won’t put my widgets on my page.

Support contacted me and said that the bug was fixed. Apparently if you lost any data in the text widgets, you need to rebuild them manually.

    Hi all,

There was a problem with the text widget earlier on some blogs. Saving a text widget caused the contents to vanish. The bug is fixed now. Unfortunately, any changes to text widgets were lost.

If you’re able to restore your text widgets by hand, you can safely do that now.

    Thanks for your patience.

    Cheers,
    Heather

I just went to my blog and wanted to ad a text widget. It couldn’t be added. I clicked the edit box, and it wouldn’t open. I’m glad I came over to the forum. My widgets didn’t disappear, I can’t make any changes or updates. Please do something.

    Hi all,
Is anyone having trouble with the “Links: Blogroll” widget? I wanted to add a couple links to mine and when I go to edit it, this is what shows up: “There are no options for this widget.”

All this is in foreign tongue. There should be an internet dictionary. Take as an example :The links blogroll widget. Sounds like something you would buy at a hardware store for the kitchen. Hermithaven.wordpress.com

cesarcustodio and metro, you need to SAVE your text widgets before editing. jayhawkannie, the links options are under Links on your Dashboard. tonydfx, I think you need to be at wordpress.org.

Someone needs to close this thread.

I have lost all of my widgets on my blog, but the dashboard says they are still there. I can’t re-load them as the dashboard is saying they’re still there. I’ve tried logging in and out, tried refreshing, nothing working.

anyone got any tips on how to fix? FYI I’ve contacted support on this.

I have experienced the exact same problem. Experimented with themes, added one or the other widget and at the next try with another theme the previously selected widgets were gone and in the widget section the “Edit”-Link missed at those widgets so I can not do anything at all with them
