category widget in sketch theme

    hello, am trying to set a Categories widget in the Sketch theme. for the life of me I can’t figure out how to add the categories into the widget, so that they show in a drop-down menu. I can see how to change the title of the widget, or delete it, but not to make it actually function. I’ve already added five categories under Posts>Categories, but i can’t figure out how to get them to actually show in the widget. I feel like such a dope! Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi there,

    Empty categories won’t show up in your categories widget. So if you want to show your categories than you will have to write and publish something first… ;)
