Change All Fonts to Helvetica except Heading Font?

    I am using the theme Photographer.

    I am trying to use CSS to change all the fonts on my website to Helvetica (except the “headings” font because I like to use Walkway for that.

    I would like everything from the menu text to body text to be helvetica. All the CSS stylesheets I keep trying are not working.

    The blog I need help with is

    I think this will do it since all the other elements have more specific font declarations (titles and such).

    body {
    font-family: Helvetica,Arial,Sans-serif;

    Thank you for your advice. – You would think that would work..

    Here is a link to my website with the css you provided:

    I don’t have much info transferred over from my my old website but I seem to be running into the same problem – the menu items look like they are changing to helvetica but the when you click on the “about” tab, that body copy seems to be in a slightly different font.

    Actually, neither the menu bar or the body is changing. I just changed the font with the customer editor (not css) to a serif font to more easily see if it was helvetica and its not – the custom css is not overriding the theme.

    On the “illustration” page I supplied the theme CSS

    I’m having to work off of the demo site since your site is set to private, and the menu is using this font stack:

    ‘Helvetica Neue’,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif.

    The differences between helvetica neue and helvetica are minimal, especially at the small font size in the menu on the demo site.

    If I go to the “blog” on the demo site and change the body font family to what I have above, it all changes from the serif font being used to the san-serif font stack that I declared above.

    I did miss the blockquotes, so add blockquote to the selector like this.

    body, blockquote, #navigation {
    font-family: Helvetica,Arial,Sans-serif;

    The above seems to change all serif on the demo site to san-serif helvetica style font (including the navigation). The problem I have is I don’t have access to the premium themes, and since I don’t have access to your site, I have to use the demo site. This all works with Firebug add-on in Firefox on the demo site.

    Thank you for your help – I made my website public for now.

    I’ve even tried what you supplied above and it is still not working.

    Very frustrating!

    Ok, let me take a look. Hold on.

    I’m seeing Helvetica virtually everywhere. Body text, navigation, etc. I’m not seeing it on the illustration page, but that is because the “pre” tag is being used in the page content itself from within the page editor. Are you using that page to hold the original CSS for reference?

    Log out of WordPress, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then take another look at things. I’m seeing Helvetica in Safari, Chrome, and Firefox on my Mac.

    If that doesn’t work, what browser (including version) are you using?

    Have you tried viewing it with a different browser?

    I see the same, everything looks Helvetica to me at

    Your blog really looks fantastic!

    Yes I think its working. Thank you everyone for your help!
