Change blog Name (not Title)
Can I change the Name of my blog (not the Title)? When I first registered the blog I did not enter a name and so it got the default name “My Blog’s blog.” I’ve read the other posts about how to change a blog’s Title under Settings, General–and I’ve done that–but it doesn’t change the blog’s Name on my list of blogs.
The blog I need help with is istorms.wordpress.com.
This is the URL of the blog linked to your username which cannot be changed unless you purchase a domain and domain mapping http://stormsconsulting.wordpress.com/
This is where you can change the Blog Title and Tagline > Settings > General
Regarding your “list of blogs”:
The unique identifier is the email address you used to register your account with. If you are logged in under that username and email address, then all blogs you register ought to automatically display in the drop down menu. However, if you set up more than one account and used more than one email address then the same applies for each of them.
Thanks for your help, timethief. Sorry, I guess I wasn’t clear what I mean by the blog NAME. Referring to the blog at URL http://istorms.wordpress.com: I used the Settings > General to change the TITLE of the blog. But when I return to My Account page and click on My Blogs to see the list of all the blogs on my account, the NAME of this blog still shows as “Myblog’s Blog”, which is the default name given to it when I registered it. That’s what I would like to change, the NAME that shows on the list of all my blogs. Evidently, changing the Title of a blog does not change its Name. Also, the Name is different from the URL. I don’t need to change the URL. TIA for any further suggestions!
